Dragon Betta Fish

Dragon betta fish are prized for their unique and striking appearance. The fins of the dragon betta are elongated and have a ruffled or feathery appearance, giving it an almost dragon-like appearance. The body of a dragon betta is usually smaller than that of a regular betta, but the fins are much longer and more pronounced.

Dragon bettas are available in a variety of colors, including red, blue, purple, and green, but the most sought-after varieties have a metallic sheen to their scales. This gives them an iridescent, almost fiery appearance, which is why they are often referred to as "dragon" bettas.

In terms of care, dragon bettas are relatively hardy and easy to care for, making them a good choice for both experienced and novice fish keepers. They require a heated aquarium with a small water volume, as well as an appropriate diet of high-quality betta fish food. Dragon bettas also require regular water changes and maintenance to keep the water clean and healthy.

It's worth mentioning that breeding dragon bettas is a bit more complicated than breeding regular bettas. This is because the dragon betta's elongated fins are the result of a genetic mutation, and breeding two dragon bettas together doesn't always result in offspring with the same elongated fins. It's important to be familiar with breeding bettas and the genetics behind it if you are planning to breed dragon bettas.
